Dr. Agnieszka Gawin-Mikolajewicz is a research and teaching assistant at the Department of Drug Form Technology, Wroclaw Medical University. She is also a member of the Polish Pharmaceutical Society. For seven years, she has been studying nanoformulation as the drug-delivery system in ophthalmology. She focuses on the high-energy emulsification processes, particularly the use of high-pressure homogenizers to develop stable, high-quality preparations with the potential for prolonged release of sparingly soluble drugs. Her work involves the analysis of supramolecular interactions in colloidal systems and the understanding of the interfacial interactions between the individual components of the formulations.
