Dr. Satish Kumar Maheswaran is a senior assistant professor in surgical oncology, at the Regional Cancer Centre, Madurai Medical College, Madurai in Tamilnadu, India. He is also a director, and consultant of surgical oncology at Mohan’s Medicity Hospital, Madurai, in Tamilnadu.

Dr. Satish has more than 6 years of experience in teaching and training surgical oncology residents, and mentoring, at Madurai Medical College and Regional Cancer Centre under the government of Tamilnadu. He has been involved in research and publications in surgical oncology for more than 11 years. He has more than 11 years of experience in surgical oncology and laparoscopic surgeries in major reputed cancer centers. He did Certified training in laparoscopy and robotic oncosurgery at renowned centres of excellence for oncosurgery and minimally invasive surgeries in India, Brazil, and the USA.

Dr. Satish Kumar got multiple gold medals in both undergraduation and postgraduation periods. He got a prestigious Dr. Lalitha Kameshwaran endowment gold medal in the year 2004 for Pharmacology. Also, got a gold medal in surgical oncology and pediatric surgery in the year of 2011. He attended several national and international conferences and received best poster presentation/best paper awards for his research work.

Dr. Satish has a keen interest in breast oncology and oncoplastic breast surgeries, gynecological and pelvic oncology, minimally invasive oncology, and surgical oncology.
